Image
Dear friends and family, We had an awesome week and it was fun time in Diamond North! As you can see from the title of this email, it rained heavy here in Guyana. After a busy day, we usally come back home drenched but it was worth it because we were able to meet with a lot of fantastic people. We went to one of the coolest members in the diamond branch, the Whauls. They have a beautiful two story house and have a cute dog. Sister Whaul fed us this delicious chocolate chip muffins with raspberry and cream on top, oh my, it was so good!! It was so good, I made it my new Facebook picture lol. We were able to finally meet this cool guy named Wazid! He was a man who contacted us but we had a tough time setting up an appointment with him. We finally taught him on Sunday and it was awesome! Hes a Muslim and and his family super nice!  Big miracle for this week happened yesterday! We were able to invite everyone to church but only a few said yes. One in particular was a man name Steve. Mission Tour! And Fathers Day!

Image
Dear friends and family, We had a Mission tour! We had first counselor of the area presidency, Elder Alvarado come and tour the mission. He is a super fun leader and encouraged us with his enthusiasm! I went on exchanges with Elder Hallstrom this week and he is super fun! I contacted a lot of people with him and an awesome dinner with a member family named the Spencers. They are an awesome family and I felt the spirit so strong. Elder Naea and I were able to get two of our friends to church which is so good because we weren't able to get anyone to come in the past week. Also it was Father's day and I wish every father Happy fathers day! I got to call my dad too! Spiritual thought: one training that stood out to me during the mission tour was President Lamprechts which he talked about love, share, and invite. He Emphasized LOVE because without love nothing happens. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of love! We need to have the gift of charity if we want our friends to come ...

...Bikes!

Dear friends and family, Hello everybody, another week has past! Its been a crazy and stressful week, but also a fun week!  The title of this email has some significance into what happened this week. The bikes were being naughty and kept breaking on us. We had to walk and take public transportation, which isnt the best but it good enough to get us to our destination. We were able to fix them Friday which was super nice and then our extra bike broke. Rip. The youth in the diamond branch invited us to paintball with them and it was a fun time. I got to know a lot of the young men and develop a relationship with them. Funny moment is when we were coming back, Elder Naea fell asleep. So I took a picture of him.  Honestly I think thats his super power haha. If he was a video game character, his special abilities would be to sleep anywhere and anytime.  Spiritual thought: the thought for today comes from daily joy, being one with God. President Nelson describes the meaning of t...

Rain! Lots of Rain!

Dear friends and family, This week, we got wet! Drench all over with water! It is the middle of the rainy season here in Guyana and its been a great one. We were able to go out and teach which is always good and fills me with the spirit. Me and Elder Naea are getting along, we work well together and have fun. We have been having a lot of bike problems which is kinda frustrating. We were able to have are awesome district leader Elder Restrepo come and help us fix them lol. We did service for this one family and They sre super cool so I hope we can start teaching them soon. Overall it was a good week in Diamond! Spiritual thought: I was thinking about what I should share today but the inspiration came this morning! We were doing service for the family I talked about earlier and their son showed us how to weld. I have seen welding before and the way he explained it was super cool! It made me think about our covenants. When we make and keep covenants, we are welding ourselves to god and be...
