New Transfer, Incoming!

Image
Dear family and friends,     This week has been great, not a lot of things happened this week but we got plans for next week.     One big thing though is that transfers are tomorrow and I'm getting a new companion! His name is Elder Hughes and I'm excited to meet him tomorrow.     I'm going to miss knapstad, he's going to the valley and I can't wait for him to see more of the mission ( castle rock has been his first area). I haven't heard anything from Trinidad and Tobago yet, but I'm not in a hurry, I'm enjoying more of the Colorado Colorado Springs mission each day!     Sincerely, Elder Franco  Pic: cool mural we found with bishop Reynolds

The Aftermath....

Dear friends and family,     I had an amazing week last week because of Elder Gifford Nieleson taking a tour throughout the mission.      He taught us how to be more efficient and effective as missionaries, by going back to core message that the complete gospel has been restored and there is hope in Christ. His words touched all of us and I'm currently applying it by becoming a master scriptorian.     My district is great because we like to have fun and work our souls off for the lord. We did the mini incline today and it was interesting going up it and seeing all of castle rock.     I'm grateful to be a missionary, and have the privilege to wear my beloved saviors name on my heart, missionary work is challenging and some of the missionaries question the rules. Truth is I don't know where all of the rules come from, but I follow them because I belive in this work and I will bring many souls onto Christ, even if its just one soul! I say these ...

The Cursed Bike....

Dear friends and family,     This week has been kind of slow sadly and to add to it my bike broke again lol. But not in the way you expected.     It all began on a beautiful Saturday and we exchanged with the zone leaders. I went with Elder Mayer in his area and Elder Rust went with Knapstad in our area.     So there they were after I left and they were going to do service. They got to the house and started helping. Here's where it gets interesting, as soon as they were done and went outside to leave, they find that my back tire completely flat!      They check for holes but none where found. They filled it up and head back to the stake center, but it went flat again! So they ended up walking the whole day. Cut to Sunday, bike seems to be normal until the end of the day, it did the same thing! The only explanation we can come up with is that its cursed! So today we are going to take it to the shop.     I'm sure everything will be fi...

Dear friends and family,     Happy pday everyone! This week has been action packed! First we had a good week with lessons and got to teach a lot of people. Sunday night and today are the highlights!     Yesterday, we eat dinner with the Thurburs and they had an old Hudson from 1911! Me and elder Knapstad got to ride in it and it was amazing! Today we went on a hike and it was super beautiful! We also got smoothies today, I got whats called a tropical paradise, don't know the ingredients buts delicious!     This week has been amazing and I can't wait to share more about my mission and experiences throughout the year.     Sincerely, Elder Franco
