District Conference!!

Image
Dear friends and family! It has been another week in the Trinidad port of Spain Mission and a lot has happened! We started off this week with an exchange with the Zone Leaders. I went with Elder Forson in my area, Linden Mckenzie. We biked a lot that day and taught very good lessons. We were able to set two people on date: Ameena and Harry. They are very committed to being baptized and they made plans to help them reach their goal. One lesson I learned from the exchange is I can more bold. People in Guyana are some of the most boldest people on the planet so it's important to be bold with them when teaching. Also with an increase of love, can't forget that part.  Next, we finished teaching Kathleen the lessons so we were able to setup her baptismal interview with the Zone Leaders. She passed! Me and Elder Roberts were super happy. She is getting baptized this weekend.  The big highlight of the week was District Conference. Over 300 people came, which is exciting! Guy...

Dear friends and family, Hello Everyone! Another Week has past by and it's time for a new weekly! This week has been absolutely fire and fast! My new companion, Elder Roberts is Super Awesome. We have a lot in common and we love fries haha. My first few days as District Leader have been good so far, I made assignments for district council tomorrow and I got training from the APs. I did my first two baptismal interviews which was cool and I really felt the Spirit when I interviewed the people being baptized.  Overall, it was a great week and I can't wait to share more about adventures.  My spiritual thought: I listen to Elder Joseph B. Wirthlins final talk - "Come what may and Love it". He talks about how we can endure our trials with joy and happiness through Jesus Christ. I invite everyone to Listen to it on Gospel library or YouTube. It's helped me a lot!  Sincerely,  Elder Franco

Dear friends and family, It has been another week in the Trinidad Port of Spain Mission! This week has been great for me, My companion and the other missionaries here in Guyana! I didn't get sick this week also so that was a huge two thumbs up. This email is going to be a little bit big because a lot has happened.  This week, we biked a lot and Elder Sheffer and I got to teach a lot of our friends. Kathleen, one of our friends, was taught by the missionaries for awhile and she finally is planning to be baptized! We have her baptism on the 30th! I'm super excited for her, she knows a lot of the Doctrine and all she really needs to do is come to church more often. We were also Teaching our friend Arrol. Arrol is the uncle of one of our great members, Brother John. We have been teaching him for a couple of weeks now and we felt the spirit prompt us to put him on date for baptism. We followed the Prompting, and he's getting baptized on May the 7th. We are teaching a new friend ...

General Conference!!!

Dear friends and family, Hello! I'm back again with another email (don't know how many I have written lol) And this week has been fantastic because of one thing... General Conference!  General conference was spectacular! We were able to watch it together as a district and listen to the Prophet and Apostles give important messages. My two favorite talks from this conference are from President Nelson and President Oaks. Nelson invited all of us to increase our Spiritual Momentum ( Also proof that he watches March madness) and President Oaks taught simply and beautifully the plan of salvation and the principle of the three kingdoms of glory.  Also the new temple announcements are exciting! Florida, Peru, California, Idaho, and Brazil are getting new temples!  Spiritual thought: we were doing a companionship study and we listen to a talk by Hyrum Smith about Self Worth. It was one of the best talks I heard from him! He talks about how we can improve our self esteem by changin...
