Working On Pday!

Image
Dear family and friends,     According to the title on this letter, we put someone on date for baptism. Actually they put themselves on date!     It came as a surprise for me and my companion, we were coming from our hike today from the Rock, and out of nowhere, the family texted us and told us their daughter wanted to be put on day for may!     Not going to lie, my jaw dropped. I'm super excited for this family! I'm doing fine, I have adjusted to the castle Rock life and I'm loving my district. Amazing Missionaries carrying the work forward.     Look forward to talking to you guys soon .     Sincerely, Elder Franco

The First Step...

Image
Dear friends and family,     I want to highlight this past Saturday. This last Saturday was amazing day because an amazing person was baptized.     Her name was Caitlyn and she an amazing experience. She and grew up not knowing religion. She had a special experience that she will always remember. She for the the first time, prayed for peace. Thanks to the light of christ. Next she spoke to her friend and eventually found her way to us, the missionaries. Which led to this last Saturday. She said what I just wrote and said her strong testimony of the gospel.     I'm so happy for her and this step. She now has received a spiritual companion of the holy ghost.     I like to bare my testimony that I know the promise of miracles is real and that God lives.     Sincerely, Elder Franco

My First Week In Castle Rock

Dear friends and family,     This week has been great! I have gotten use to my surroundings in castle rock and its a beautiful area.     My new companion elder knapstad is awesome and he is willing to work. Not only my companion is awesome, but my ward is awesome too! The members are ready to help us at anytime.     I'm super excited for this coming week and I can't wait to tell you guys all about it next week.     Sincerely,      Elder Franco

Moving To A New Zone

Dear friends and family,     As you saw in the title, transfers are happening tomorrow and I'm actually moving . I'm moving to castle Rock Colorado in the Foothills area. It's on the north side of the ccsm.     I'm excited, but sad at the same time. It's the first transfer I'm moving from rye and Pueblo and I'm going to miss the rye ward so much. Not to mention the many amazing people I met here. But I look to the future with optimism.     This last session of general conference was amazing and the words of the prophet and apostles were amazing and not only brought hope to me but to everyone.     A cool note is that my current companion elder Vail is getting a temple in his home town of Burley, Idaho. My next companion is elder Knapstad and I can't wait to meet him. Overall, a very good week in the mission. Sincerely, Elder Franco
