The Rain! Pt.2

Image
Dear friends and family, It has been another week in Guyana! Its been crazy... because of the Rain!!! It was hard to do the work a little bit but we still saw mini miracles! We were able to find, and teach people this week which was super nice! Its been hard when we have appointments fall through but we were able to stay productive still.  Im loving training. Elder Christensen is a great companion and I enjoy spending time with him. We come from different backgrounds but I love that the gospel can bring many people together. Also Star Wars lol. Spiritual thought: I have Two months left and I'm going to grind as hard as I can! My spiritual thought comes from preach my gospel and its found in the 1st chapter. It contains bullet points on what makes a successful missionary and one of my favorite points is this: you are successful missionary when you go about doing good. I love that! Going about doing is what Jesus Christ did and he didnt worry about the outcome. All he did was good. M...

Dear friends and Family! This week was slow and fast at the same time! This week we started strong with a good district council. We went to alot of members this week and it was super good. On Wednesday, I got sick! It was sad because it was a fellow brothers birthday, Brother Spencers! I got better the next day and started the grind! Elder Christensen is growing more confident in contacting people which is spectacular! We found 5 new people this week, which was the most out of any of the past weeks! We were able to also see our friend Sabrina come to church for the first time which was so Exciting! She enjoyed it and wants to come more! Overall this week was awesome and I cant wait for this coming week. Spiritual thought: I couldnt come up with one so I will have one next email  Sincerely, Elder Franco

It Has Begun!

Dear friends and family! This week went by quick! I was with my district leader, Elder Hallstrom for 4 days until my greenie got into Guyana. We covered both areas and it was super awesome! Saturday comes and I meet my new companion, Elder Christensen. Hes is a fantastic Elder and he comes from Royal city, Washington. He was adjusting the first day and I told him that everything will be okay and you will be blessed because you have chosen to serve the lord! We had a good sunday and Elder Christensen got to meet the branch. We were able to teach 3 powerful lessons and have an awesome dinner. Overall it was a good start to the transfer! Spirtual thought: todays thought comes from the training I received from President Lamprecht about training. He gave us insights on how he considers trainers and told all of us (the new Trainers) that we were not chosen for where we are in the mission. We were chosen for who we are! The lord has prepared us for his work and we all have a role to play in h...

Dear friends and family, Happy 4th of July to everyone! America is incredible and was preserved by God to be a land of Liberty! I hope you all have a fantastic time watching the fireworks! This week has been fire and we were able to have a great sacrament attendance with six of our friends coming to church! The Title of this email might be confusing to some but let me explain. We got Transfer news saturday night to see whats going to happen and before the sheet dropped, I got a call from President lamprecht. He told me that he is giving me a training assignment this transfer! I'm getting a Greenie! I'm going to miss Elder Naea, he was an awesome companion and has taught me how to be a better leader. Mission lingo: Greenie means brand new missionary from the mtc brand new. Dads are trainers and Greenies are  called sons. Its a fun thing that literally happens on the mission haha.  My Greenie's name is Elder Christensen and I'm excited to meet him. I'm going ...
