4th Of July! I'm Going To Be A Dad!

Dear friends and family,

Happy 4th of July to everyone! America is incredible and was preserved by God to be a land of Liberty! I hope you all have a fantastic time watching the fireworks! This week has been fire and we were able to have a great sacrament attendance with six of our friends coming to church!

The Title of this email might be confusing to some but let me explain. We got Transfer news saturday night to see whats going to happen and before the sheet dropped, I got a call from President lamprecht. He told me that he is giving me a training assignment this transfer! I'm getting a Greenie! I'm going to miss Elder Naea, he was an awesome companion and has taught me how to be a better leader.

Mission lingo: Greenie means brand new missionary from the mtc brand new. Dads are trainers and Greenies are  called sons. Its a fun thing that literally happens on the mission haha. 

My Greenie's name is Elder Christensen and I'm excited to meet him. I'm going to be with Elder Hallstrom with a few days because he gets here saturday morning.

Spiritual thought: I was listening to Elder Bednars talk "Watchful unto Prayer Continually", he told a story about cheetahs trying to hunt topis. He then related to the gospel that Satan is a predator. A predator that is bent on our utter destruction. Knowing this, we will have to keep our guard up through Jesus Christ. Always be vigilant and pray always. He promises if we pray continually, we will be able to not fall pray the the adversary and harmful things. I like to add to that that if we live the Gospel, we will have a strong foundation in Christ! In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
