Hallelujah! Boo!

Dear friends and family! It's almost Halloween! I don't know how I'm going to celebrate but I know it will be a wonderful day because it will be Sunday. This week has been slow, so I don't have a lot to report but I have some big news... I'm getting a new companion! We got transfer news on Saturday and I found out that I'm getting a new comp, his name is Elder Patterson and he will be flying into Guyana from Arubia. He's from Utah and I'm super excited to meet him! I'm a little nervous to lead this area though not going to lie. I understand most people but I still don't understand them half the time and I have to help my new companion understand Guyanese creole. But I believe I will be okay because I know the lord is on my side. Sunday was spent on saying goodbye to the branch and it was a wonderful experience! Sincerely, Elder Franco  Pics: Me and Elder Jenson and our new member friend Ravi!

Dear friends and family, It's been a wonderful week down here in rose hall berbice! We had a good week of contacting people and exchanges with other missionaries. Yesterday, our amazing friend Mahendra was baptized and received the gift of the Holy Ghost! It was an amazing experience to watch! I went on exchanges with Elder Larsen and he is an amazing Elder! He taught me a lot on our time together and I can't wait to emulate a lot of what he's taught me. We took a fun selfie together! We also found three new people! As for me I'm doing good, I had a lot fun with Elder Jenson this week, we cooked some pies Saturday and talked about how Lord of the rings has the best soundtrack. I personally love the hobbit more, but their the same thing. We are going to the bush today ( in Guyana, "Bush" means forest), we are going to go fishing and maybe catch a few alligators with the zone. We are also going to make and it pizza! I have seen the hand of the lord this week and...

It's Christmas In Guyana!

Dear Family and Friends, It's SPOOKY season! or is it LIGHT THE WORLD season? I don't personally know but what I do know is that there is no fall or snow here in the caribbean lol! The title comes from a conversation we had with our downstairs neighbor. Her name is Surhiya and she is super nice, me and Elder Jenson consider her our best friend who works downstairs from where we live! We talked about how our day went and how we went around teaching people. She told us what we are doing is super good and it can help Guyana a lot in these times. Then she showed us her christmas tree, Which I thought was cool and absolutely funny at the same time. Elder Jenson told her it's not christmas time yet and Surhiya said that it can be christmas time anytime! That made me Laugh so hard! I want to know what you all think, can the Christmas spirit start early? The work here in Rose Hall has been good, we traveled by taxi a lot this week and Elder Jenson had to get reimbu...

Dear Family and Friends, It's has been an amazing weekend this past week! We got to hear from the prophet and the apostles and it was so incredible! The messages that were shared were needed and I and Elder Jenson found a lot of answers to the questions that we had! My Favorite Talks were given by the following: President Russell M. Nelson, Elder Wilcox, Elder Gilbert (even though I'm not a fan of math or graphs), Elder Villaneuva, and Elder Dallin H. Oaks. they answered the questions that I had about myself and how to help the members here in Guyana. General Conference wasn't just about who spoke, but who came to what. We had 4 friends come! they were amazed and happy to hear from the leaders of the church. One of them is Actually getting baptized this coming Sunday! The spirit felt so STRONG and I saw small miracles happen to not only me and my companion but other people as well. Exciting news in the mission as well! there is a small rumor that Trinidad is finally process...
