Aquema's Baptism!! And Pagwa!!

Dear friends and family,

This week was fantastic! I'm also honestly not very good on telling you guys about baptisms lol, nevertheless we had a baptism.

Aquema is this awesome little girl and we have been teaching her since February. She is part of a part member family and she went to her grandmother ( her grandma is Ethellene, who we are also teaching.) and says she wants to be baptized. We were told this in the middle of February and we were like heck yeah! So her journey began. And this past week she entered into the gate. Her family was there to support her and also the members.

Just a little update on my health, I went back to the doctor to get tests done. Last time I went, there was no test done, so I thought it would be good to know for sure if there is a parasite in me. The test came back and they were all negative, nothing in me. The doctor gave more medicine and I came away feeling good that I didn't have a parasitic alien in me so I'm in the clear for that one.

Also, this past Friday was Pagwa! Pagwa is a holiday that Guyana celebrates. It's like a festival of colors! People throw colored powder and spray with water guns and it was super fun. All of us got colored haha!

Spiritual thought this week: I was stressed a lot this week and something that really helped was the talk from this past general conference called: "Let Christ be the author of our stories". It's really good talk and I invite all of you to listen to it this week. I had to hand myself, a simple pencil, to the lord so he could craft a beautiful masterpiece that was this past weekend. Putting our Trust in the lord will truly make a difference. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

All of you are amazing!

Sincerely,
Elder Franco
