Transfers!
Dear Friends and Family,
Good day everybody! I am officially not in Rose Hall! I got Transferred to the Georgetown zone in Linden. Linden is the farthest place in Guyana, it boards the jungle, which is super sweet!
These past couple of days have been great. I got to say goodbye to my friends and members in Rose Hall and I was super sad to leave them. They are great people and I hope to see many of them in the future! Next, came transfer day. We drove over the Berbice bridge and headed to Georgetown. Every Elder was at the Georgetown apartment. My new companion, Elder Sheffer, is fantastic! We talked about our hobbies and why we came on a mission. He is from Phoenix, Arizona.
We get to linden and the first day was just me settling in. The neighborhood and apartment are amazing. The next day, I got sick! I had stomach pain for the whole day so me and Elder Sheffer had to do our appointments over phone.
Saturday was way better though. I got feeling better and We were biking around. I got to meet a lot of the branch members and the members are super cool! Our branch President, President Ramdehall is a spectacular leader, he helped us with our activity about family history.
Sunday, I got bare my testimony along with Elder Larsen. It was a cool experience seeing all the members welcome us with open arms.
Overall, a good week, and the Spiritual thought this week, while I was sick, I watched the byu devotional by Elder Holland with Elder Sheffer and it was a great devotional. Elder Holland talked about how god is always with us through our afflictions and we have to hold on with faith, with everything we got!
Sincerely,
Elder Franco
