Christmas Transfers!
Dear friends and family,
Good Day everybody! This week has been packed with miracles so let's get into it! First we had our first lesson our friends Cuvita and Jago. We have been contacting them for a while but we weren't able to teach because Jago wasn't awake. Today he was awake, so we were able to teach the Restoration!
I went on exchanges on Friday and I went to Corriverton with Elder Peterson. Peterson is one of the best Missionaries here in Guyana and I learned a lot from him. One of the highlights from the exchange is that we balled up with some guys on a near by basketball court. They are big fans of the NBA and they were talking about the playoffs and how Donovan Mitchell is one of the best! The Miracle in this exchange is that I didn't have any major bike problems. Some of the bikes have been having issues like pedals getting loose and falling off. Miraculously, the bike did not break!
On Saturday, we exchanged back and at night, we found out the changes for this coming transfer. Majority of the Berbice zone is still the same with some new changes. First Rosignol is getting flushed with new Elders. We are getting Elder Stevenson and Elder Boyce. Elder McEwan is going to diamond and Elders Preator and Norlund are opening New Amsterdam. Elder Patterson and I are still together! Same with Elder Peterson and Elder Philip's. The best district is still together!
The Spiritual thought I have is about patience and enduring to the end. These past few weeks have been hard but absolutely rewarding. The Rose Hall branch attendance has went up to 20 - 26 and it's not slowing down. I was called as Elders quorum instructor and I help teach Elders quorum. We found ourselves helping the branch more and more and the common theme was the principle of enduring to the end. In 2 Nephi 31:20 it talks about having faith in Jesus Christ and enduring to end, if we do this we are promised eternal blessings! I can testify with my heart that Scripture is true and I shared it with almost everyone we taught this week and I am super happy they responded positively. I can't wait to follow up with them. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Love you guys!
Sincerely,
Elder Franco
